The Teacher Assistant supports the Lead Teacher in providing a caring and safe environment for the children. The Assistant Teacher is responsible for helping to manage the day-to-day activities of the classroom. The Assistant Teacher engages with the children to share the joy of learning through play.

 
Part Time and Per Diem positions available.

Duties

• Build nurturing, loving relationships with children.
• Assist in the implementation of activities and encourage participation by children.
• Be present and attentive and actively engaged at all times. 
• Provide positive guidance and encouragement.
• Follow all center policies and state regulations.
• Work together as a team so that all staff are supported to achieve their very best.
• Be open to sharing ideas and trying new things.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age
• High energy.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification within first 30 days of hire.
• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working with young children.
• Successful completion of course in child growth and development
• High School degree or equivalent
• Some ECE (Early Childhood Education) college credits
