We are seeking a skilled video editor to create professional screen capture recordings of web-based course content using TightStudio software and edit them into polished final videos. This position involves producing content for multiple online courses, with screen recordings capturing course information displayed in web browsers.
To maximize efficiency and speed up the editing process, all editing will be performed directly within TightStudio screen recording software. This approach eliminates round-trip editing between applications (such as Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere), significantly reducing production time while maintaining quality. The ideal candidate will be comfortable completing the entire workflow—from screen capture to final edit—within TightStudio.
Key Responsibilities
Create high-quality screen capture recordings of course information displayed in web browsers using TightStudio software
Utilize zoom functionality to focus on key elements and enhance viewer engagement
Follow storyboard concepts and creative direction provided for each project
Edit screen recordings and pre-recorded video clips together using TightStudio
Clean up footage and format videos to specific duration requirements
Perform post-production editing including trimming, transitions, and quality adjustments
Deliver finished videos and source files in specified formats
Assist with any corrections or revisions in a timely manner
Ensure consistent quality and professional presentation across all deliverables
Required Qualifications
Mac computer (required) - TightStudio software compatibility
Proficiency in TightStudio or willingness to master it quickly - Ability to complete entire projects within the screen recording software without round-tripping to other editors
Basic video editing skills - Understanding of editing fundamentals and techniques
Timeline-based editing knowledge - Experience working with timeline editors and multi-track editing
Experience with screen recording software and workflow optimization
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Nice to Have
Previous experience with TightStudio or similar screen recording software
Experience working on multiple video projects simultaneously
Portfolio demonstrating screen recording and editing work
Experience creating educational or tutorial-style videos
Understanding of efficient workflows to maximize productivity without sacrificing quality
Please note: This is a contract position and is compensated on a per project basis
