Total Veterinary Care is looking for a full-time HOSPITAL ASSISTANT for our fast-paced, busy veterinary hospital in Grove City, OH. This entry-level position is ideal for someone who is interested in pursuing a career in the veterinary field, but has not necessarily had previous experience in a veterinary hospital setting.

Job Type:  Full-time (minimum of 30 hours/week, up to 40 hours/week)

Hiring Range: $11 -$12 per hour

Schedule: Must be available rotating Saturdays.

Hospital Hours:  Monday - Saturday, 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Primary Duties Include: 

• Support your entire team with a positive attitude and willingness to help, especially on stressful or busy days.
• Be able to prioritize the most urgent client, patient, and team member needs.
• Maintain hospital cleanliness by cleaning and restocking bathrooms and exam rooms throughout the day. Check and clean all other areas of the hospital throughout the day, especially the treatment room.
• Prepare exam rooms and surgery suite for appointments (when asked).
• Assist Client Care Specialists by answering missed phone calls, greeting customers, and checking clients in/out as needed
• Assist technicians, veterinary assistants, and Veterinarians with patients throughout the day. (When asked, local laws apply.)
• Update the inventory list with needed office supplies as you see them running low.
• Clean the kennels and handle patient care for drop-offs and surgery patients. Water, feed and walk patients as needed/instructed
• Interact with all clients in a professional manner whether in-person or over the phone
• Be able to discuss Wellness Plans with all clients.
• Take advantage of opportunities to learn through assisting the team.
