Position Title: Student Athlete Dining Cook - Camp Randall Stadium & Kohl Center Arena

Pay Range : $18.00 to $22.00

Job Summary

Summary : Join our team as a  Student Athlete Dining Cook and play an essential role in providing nutritious, high-quality meals to student-athletes. You'll prepare meals that meet the highest culinary standards while adhering to federal, state, and corporate regulations. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where quality food and service are key!

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Food Preparation:  Prepare high-quality meals according to standardized recipes and production schedules to meet delivery and service timelines.
  • Portioning & Servicing : Serve meals or prepare items for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, proper temperatures, and that food is visually appealing and delicious. 
  • Cleanliness & Organization : Clean kitchen areas after meal preparation and service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Store or discard any excess food following safe food-handling procedures. 
  • Inventory & Storage : Keep refrigerators, storerooms, and kitchen spaces clean and well-organized. Ensure food and supplies are stored properly to maintain freshness and minimize waste. 
  • Equipment Operation & Maintenance : Operate kitchen equipment safely and according to instructions. Report any maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately. 
  • Safety Compliance : Attend in-service and safety meetings to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe work environment. 
  • Team Collaboration : Work closely with coworkers, administrators, and managers to ensure smooth operations and the consistent delivery of quality meals. 
  • Additional Duties : Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the dining services. 

Qualifications

  • Culinary Experience: Previous culinary experience is required, with a strong understanding of food preparation and kitchen operations. 
  • Certifications: Must have or be willing to complete  ServSafe Food Handler Certification and  Alcohol Safety Certification
  • Positive Attitude : A team player with a positive attitude, ready to contribute to a collaborative work environment. 
  • Physical Ability : Ability to lift and move 20-40 lbs of kitchen supplies or food items. 
  • Teamwork : Ability to work well with others, creating a positive, supportive environment for all staff and team members.
