The Senior System Administrator is a hands-on technical role responsible for the administration, optimization, and security of Microsoft 365, Azure, and cloud infrastructure environments. This person thrives on solving complex problems, learning new technologies, and staying ahead of Microsoft's evolving tools and security updates. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in Microsoft platforms, scripting, and modern infrastructure tools like Kubernetes, while enjoying working directly on systems every day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and support Microsoft 365 services: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
• Manage Azure and Entra ID: user provisioning, conditional access, identity governance, and PIM.
• Configure and maintain multi-tenant architecture and cross-tenant collaboration.
• Support and adjust SharePoint structures, permissions, and provisioning as business needs evolve.
• Automate system administration tasks using PowerShell and scripting.
• Apply Microsoft security baselines and keep systems aligned with best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Microsoft cloud environments quickly and effectively.
• Maintain awareness of Microsoft roadmap updates and recommend improvements.
• Work with Kubernetes to support and manage containerized workloads.
• Continuously research, test, and learn new technologies to strengthen IT operations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience.
• Expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra ID administration.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• Knowledge and practical use of Kubernetes.
• Experience with multi-tenant environments and cloud-based architecture.
• Solid troubleshooting skills across Microsoft and cloud infrastructure.
• Curiosity and drive to keep up with Microsoft releases, patches, and new features.
• Excellent communication skills with a team-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Security Administrator, or M365 Enterprise Expert).
• Experience with security baselines and aligning environments to best practices.
• Exposure to hybrid cloud setups (on-prem + cloud).
