Description We are looking for an experienced and strategic Controller to oversee our accounting operations and financial reporting. This leadership position is ideal for someone with a solid background in finance who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to help shape the future of our finance function. The Controller will play a vital role in optimizing processes, ensuring compliance, and mentoring the accounting team. Responsibilities: - Manage all core accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and reconciliations. - Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to ensure accuracy and timeliness. - Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support organizational goals. - Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls. - Streamline accounting workflows and optimize system usage for efficiency. - Collaborate with leadership and operational teams to align financial strategies with business objectives. - Provide mentorship and guidance to the accounting team, fostering growth and development. - Monitor and enhance financial processes to support organizational changes and future growth. - Act as a key resource for financial decision-making and strategic planning. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in accounting roles. - Proficiency in financial systems and tools, with specific experience in systems. - Strong knowledge of US GAAP and general accounting principles. - Previous experience in industries such as retail, apparel, wholesale, or distribution is preferred. - Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail. - Ability to communicate effectively with teams and leadership. - Comfortable working in a hands-on role with potential for leadership growth.
