The Construction Manager will be responsible for administering and directing the construction project throughout the initiation, planning, execution, and closure phases. The Construction Manager will be the main point of contact with the Client Representative for all construction related activities in the surrounding Rochester area.
Duties:
Manage the pre-construction process, including schedule, budget, and quality monitoring and control.
Manage the bidding process including contractor solicitation, bidding, evaluation, and selection.
Manage daily activities during the construction execution phase including the project schedule, budget, and the QA/QC process.
Manage the organization, tracking, review, and disposition of various construction phase engineering and construction documents including Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, shop drawings, and change orders.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary designers, contractors, and clients to communicate project status and set priorities.
Provide agenda and conduct periodic project coordination meetings.
Resolve construction issues and manage risks to mitigate negative impacts to project and client.
Position requires work Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends, and frequent travel to project site(s).
Qualifications:
Minimum 10+ years of construction management experience.
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or similar degree.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to follow direction and work in a collaborative team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
OSHA 30-Hour certification preferred.
Current New York State Professional Engineer or Registered Architect license preferred.
Construction Management (CCM, and/or PgMP, PMP) certification preferred.
Experience with computer aided drafting software, proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT preferred.
Experience with Construction Management software (Primavera, Procore, RsMeans, etc.) preferred.
Salary Range: $45 - $55 / Hr
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
