Job Summary:
Vail Resorts is the world’s leading mountain resort operator, with 42 resorts in 15 states and 4 countries. The Communications Team is responsible for promoting Vail Resorts and its values; each of our world-class resorts; and the product that provides guests with unrivaled access to all of them, the Epic Pass. Our resort-based communications teams are divided into three regions –West, Rocky Mountain and East – and manage strategic communications, PR, content creation and resort social media channels with the mission of providing an Experience of a Lifetime for our employees and guests.
Stevens Pass is hiring a full-time, year-round Communications Manager. This role is based in Washington and location flexible, within reasonable driving distance to Stevens Pass.
The Communications Manager for Stevens Pass is responsible for promoting and protecting the reputation of the resort through strategic communications, effective and creative storytelling, proactive media relations, social media management, issues management and crisis communications. The Manager acts as a spokesperson for the resort and provides guidance and counsel to resort leadership with internal and external communications initiatives. This role oversees the resorts’ social media accounts, content strategy and capture, and management of the resort Content Specialist. Additionally, the Manager supports broader media relations efforts for the West Region, specifically Whistler Blackcomb
The ideal candidate will have experience in communications, media relations, storytelling, social media, copywriting and issues management. This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Communications for Whistler Blackcomb and is also part of the broader West Region Communications team, responsible for building the reputation of the West Region, Vail Resorts, and the Epic Pass.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment where employees living within 50 miles of the Broomfield office work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.
