The Clinical Director (BCBA) provides clinical leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, ethical, and evidence-based services while supporting and developing clinical staff. The Clinical Director is responsible for maintaining compliance with BACB standards, payer requirements, and organizational policies, while promoting a culture of clinical excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership amp; Oversight

  • Oversee the assessment, development, implementation, and monitoring of behavior intervention plans.
  • Ensure all clinical services align with BACB ethical standards and best practices in ABA.
  • Review clinical documentation for accuracy, quality, and compliance with funding and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide consultation and support for complex clinical cases.

Staff Supervision amp; Development

  • Supervise and mentor BCBAs, assistant supervisors, and other clinical staff.
  • Ensure appropriate supervision hours and documentation in accordance with BACB guidelines.
  • Lead clinical trainings, workshops, and ongoing professional development initiatives.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of clinical staff.

Quality Assurance amp; Compliance

  • Monitor clinical outcomes and data to ensure effective treatment progress.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance authorizations, audits, and accreditation standards.
  • Develop, implement, and refine clinical policies and procedures.
  • Address clinical performance concerns and implement corrective action plans when needed.

Program amp; Organizational Leadership

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to support program growth and strategic initiatives.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration with families, schools, and related service providers.
  • Support new program development, service expansion, and evidence-based innovations.
  • Represent the organization professionally in the community and with stakeholders.

Family amp; Client Engagement

  • Ensure family-centered, culturally responsive care.
  • Support families through education, collaboration, and problem-solving.
  • Address client or family concerns related to clinical services.
  • Qualifications

Required

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing with the BACB.
  • Master’s degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
  • Active state licensure
  • Minimum of 2 years as a BCBA
  • Minimum of 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of ABA service delivery models and payer requirements.

Preferred

  • Experience as a Clinical Director or Program Director.
  • Experience overseeing multi-site or large clinical teams.
  • Background in program development, quality assurance, or accreditation processes.
