**Job Title: Air Monitor**
**Job Description**
As an Air Monitor, you will be responsible for conducting air monitoring activities to ensure compliance with AQMD Rule 1166 and Rule 1466. Your work will include continuous air quality monitoring and providing real-time data and immediate reporting of elevated levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and particulate matter.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform continuous air monitoring in compliance with AQMD Rule 1166 and Rule 1466.
+ Monitor volatile organic compounds (VOCs) for Rule 1166 and particulate matter for Rule 1466.
+ Provide real-time data and immediate reporting of elevated levels of VOCs or particulates.
+ Calibrate all onsite air monitoring equipment daily and as needed to ensure accuracy.
+ Maintain calibration records in accordance with AQMD and OSHA standards.
+ Troubleshoot and repair monitoring equipment as necessary.
+ Perform preventive maintenance on air monitoring equipment.
+ Maintain daily logs, Rule 1466 logs, Rule 1166 logs, and DTSC logs.
+ Prepare weekly air monitoring reports and a final compliance report upon project completion.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with air quality monitoring.
+ Knowledge of AQMD Rule 1166 and Rule 1466.
+ Proficiency in calibrating air monitoring equipment.
+ Ability to maintain calibration records.
+ Competence in working with multi rae, mini rae, and q rae equipment.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in troubleshooting and repairing monitoring equipment.
+ Skill in preventive maintenance of air monitoring equipment.
+ Ability to maintain daily logs and prepare weekly reports.

**Work Environment**
This role requires working outside during night hours from 9pm to 5am, Monday through Friday. The position involves handling specialized air monitoring equipment and adhering to strict compliance standards.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
